Phoenix Rises Up - Changing Real Estate of Phoenix

Not too long ago, downtown Phoenix was considered a sleepy, little city center. There were some office buildings, a few banks, but no real residential area. There was little to attract residents to the area, little reason to stay downtown after the offices and banks closed up. But downtown Phoenix is thriving - and it’s becoming home to many urbanites.

The downtown Phoenix business corridor is referred to as the Camelback Corridor. Nowadays, high-rise condominium buildings rings the area, with easy access to some of the worlds first-class resorts, like the Arizona Biltmore Resort, an exclusive hotel designed by the disciples of Frank Lloyd Wright.

Metropolitan Phoenix has a number of attractions that makes the downtown corridor appealing to many home owners and investors. These home owners are finding condominiums that meet their needs for their career and entertainment, all with an urban lifestyle.

Downtown Phoenix is attracting young urbanites that are looking for a quick commute to work, as well as retirees that want luxury living with low maintenance. Many of these former home owners are selling their large homes with big lots, and moving to condominiums with room for entertaining, stellar views, and lots of convenience.

Condominium homes in downtown Phoenix offer owner’s spectacular views of the desert, easy access to downtown businesses, and walking distance to sports events, nightclubs, spas, galleries and concerts. Phoenix has a popular downtown event called “First Fridays”, a monthly event where galleries and museums are open with free tours. This monthly event has drawn more people to the corridor, both residents and visitors. On a Friday evening, Camelback Corridor bustles with activity.

Luxury high-rise buildings are being built at an eye-popping speed; everyday the skyline of Phoenix seems to change. These buildings feature all the amenities that sophisticated travelers crave: doormen, valet parking, luxurious lobbies, and custom designed homes. Even Donald Trump has discovered Phoenix - his company is building a $200 million dollar building and hotel in the downtown Phoenix core.

With the desert vistas and resort areas like the Biltmore literally steps away from these homes, it’s no wonder that more and more people are making downtown Phoenix there home. These homes are being purchased by young people working in the downtown area and by retirees looking for custom-built homes with little maintenance. Phoenix is becoming the new metropolitan destination for sophisticated home buyers.
