You muted the commercials on the TV last night because you
were fed up with interruption marketing. Ditto if you went through your mail to find most of it is junk. Ditto again, if a stranger phoned you (usually at dinner time) asking you to answer a survey, or give to yet another worthy cause.
Interruption marketing does just that…

One northern Manitoba February, Bert, a new AA convert,
was driving me from Flin Flon to The Pas to work with
another agent. Bert’s enthusiasm for AA bubbled throughout
the trip, and I learned many things that helped me improve

How much time did you spend on deciding on the appearance of your business cards? Or your letterhead? Why was it so important to get them just right?
Were you trying to present a professional image?
Now, how much time did you spend on the appearance of your email address? Did you give it the slightest thought?..

Nope. You really don’t need a website!
But you don’t need many of the things you’ve come to rely
on, such as your cell phone, e-mail, or faxes.
And there’s no point in having an Internet presence if
those you want to reach lack computers or online
capabilities. Or, if you have nothing to say…

Large corporations spend lavish amounts seeking names for their products that grab a consumer, or convey positive feelings. Book authors do the same. As do magazine writers.
So, say you are planning something that needs a name: your new company, a speech, an article, your website, your email address.
STOP! Stop, and think…
