<p>Why bother drafting an article to send directly to your subscribers when you could just as easily throw together a video to place on video syndication sites, thus driving customers to your site that way.</p>
<p>Below are some reasons why you should continue to produce ezines and if you haven&rsquo;t already started you&rsquo;ll be inspired to do so and begin to earn money with ezines. </p>
<p>Reason 1: Email is the internet </p>
<p>A large percentage of first time web browsers come onto the internet first and foremost to connect with friends and families.  Thus far, there is no other online communication method that is simpler, faster and more effective than email.</p>
<p>Established net marketers know this. They know that most online users can not understand html or RSS feeds but virtually everyone can grasp and use email.  Knowing this, net marketers choose ezines as one of their channels to deliver their messages swiftly and worry free.  </p>
<p>Ezines work because they are a convenient way for web browsers to get the information they want. The ezine arrives directly in the subscriber&rsquo;s inbox without hassle.  </p>
<p>A publisher can send his ezine to thousands of people without worrying about postage or paper bulk. Every other known method of delivering your information still requires the user to take action.  This may involve logging onto the website to view a video or hear an audio or typing in a URL to participate in a forum discussion. </p>
<p>Ezines are convenient for readers and publishers alike. Once the email is sent the user can choose when they want to read it while the publisher has the potential to reach thousands of users he would not otherwise be able to connect with which increases his profit margin without doing anymore work than he already is. </p>
<p>Nearly every internet marketer will agree that while they may get bored and sell their domain name they will never part with their subscriber list. </p>
<p>For many marketers having a website is not nearly as important as having a group of people that are responsive to their ezines and thanks to emails, marketers can deliver their message more effectively with no effort on the reader&rsquo;s part. </p>

<p>But to avoid this scenario web marketers make the effort to ensure that the information they provide is on topic and helpful. Or at least they should. The number of people flocking to the web may increase on a daily basis but they are also more wary than they were five years ago thus ezines must be valuable to reader if they are to be effective.   </p>

<p>A truly valuable ezine helps everyone involved (both the reader and publisher). <p>Which of the above gets your attention fastest? I&rsquo;m going to assume it&rsquo;s the third one. Why? Because it uses characters such as dollar signs, asterisks, or questions marks to get draw eye in. It also displays an all caps word as well as bold font. </p>
<p>Having one or the other will increase the number of people who glance at your ad but I find that using all the elements sparingly greatly increases my return on investment. </p>
<p>3. Avoid selling the product in your ad</p>
<p>Though the purpose of advertising is to create sales or awareness, the purpose of your ad is to sell the click not the product. </p>
<p>Your website or follow up email should follow through with your advertising purpose. They only job your ad has is to get people interested enough to visit your site. </p>
<p>4. Ask for &quot;premium real estate&quot;</p>
<p>Premium real estate or tops spots are places where your ad will stand apart from the many others advertising in the ezine. </p>
<p>In order to make money with ezines when advertising in a big ezine, be prepared to have a fair bit of company. Your ad can get lost or scrolled over as people get tired of reading. To get your ad to stand out ask for the top spot.</p>
<p>There&rsquo;s no guarantee the publisher will it to you but ask nicely and know that you may have pay a little extra. </p>
<p>Can&rsquo;t get the top spot? Ask for another premium real estate spot such as the middle of the article. Anyway you can stand out is worth looking into.</p>
<p>5. Be easy to do business with</p>
<p>You should have an understanding of the publisher&rsquo;s rules about formatting and line length before you send the ad. </p>
<p>Also check your ad for working links and correct spelling. This is not the publisher&rsquo;s job, it&rsquo;s yours and it is worth doing if you want to maximize your return on investment. </p>
<p>6. Use an auto responder for your response device</p>
<p>Most classified ads send the reader to a website and this works if you have a one shot sales letter and no follow up system yet or if you have a time sensitive offer. </p>
<p>But here&rsquo;s another way to maximize your return on investment. </p>
<p>Instead of using a URL, use autoresponder address in your ad. You can mention something about sending them a private link or this is an exclusive offer. </p>
<p>Create follow up messages to send to them every week until you make a sale. </p>
<p>Use the above tips to run effective ads in large ezines, so you can reach the countless people out there seeking your product. Making money with ezines is very possible if your using these tips and techniques effectively.</p>

Successful affiliate marketing has long since been a thing for door to door sales men.  But with the advent of the internet it has become an increasingly popular business venture for those looking to work from home. Before you run out and join every affiliate program out there take a look at the following tips to help you avoid wasting your time and money.</p>
<p>1. How much traffic does the merchants website receive?  Since traffic is a key component to the success of a website, its important to find out what volume the website is getting.  You can find websites traffic stats on Alexia.com, but keep in mind that high traffic is not necessarily the element of your success. </p>
<p>A website with traffic stats above 100,000 may already have ample affiliates which makes selling difficult as the competition is fierce. On the flip side a website below 500,000 may be great when it comes to competition but the product may not be a popular web pick. Always research the merchants products and services and, if you can afford it, test the product out for yourself.     </p>
<p>2. How much the commission does the merchant offer?  Because you dont want to spend more on advertising than what youll make, its best to stick to products with a commission base of 40 percent or greater. Find out how much you will earn on each sale you make or in some cases how much you earn with each tier. Chose affiliate programs that are worth your time and money.</p>
<p>3. How often are commissions paid.  Knowing how long you will have to wait before your next pay check is important. Some companies pay commissions weekly, others only pay every quarter. Some companies only pay you once you have reached a minimum commission.  For example, you are paid once you reach a 100. You need to know if you can continue your marketing efforts while you wait for your next paycheck otherwise you could see your financial stability quickly unravel. </p>
<p>4. Are tracking cookies used by the company?  The average person takes seven visits before they decide to make a purchase. The chances therefore, of a visitor buying on their first visit are rare. It is important to look for a merchant that uses cookies on their site, so that you get paid if they visitor return to buy at a later date. Find out how long the cookie lasts, the longer the better. You might want to cloak your affiliate URLs to keep from losing your commissions.</p>
<p>5. What promotional resources are available?  A good merchant who has successful affiliate marketing skills has a wide range of promotional tools to offer his or her affiliates. Take a look at the type and quality of the marketing tools available. Are there banners and prewritten ads for you to use? Is it up to date? Do the links work?</p>
<p>Despite the tools youll be offered, you will also want to create your own ads and content to offer your visitors. By creating your own ads you are able to add your own personal touch. The easiest way to sell your customers on something is to first develop a relationship with them. But you may be thinking I&rsquo;m friendly, what else would I be?  Ah, but are you projecting a friendly demeanor when it comes to your business. If you would like to improve your relationship with your customers thus generating more sales consider the following when affiliate marketing.</p>
<p>Present a Professional Image</p>
<p>Whether you are online or off its important to have a professional demeanor.  Offline you never know when you will run into a present client or a future one.  No ones going to want to do business with a sloppy Joe, so keep yourself and your belongings looking well kept at all times. Online you do not get the opportunity to dazzle prospects with your good looks but that does not mean that your website cant. </p>
<p>You do not have to be a web designer to have a well dressed site. Just be sure that your website is clean, organized and easy to navigate and keep load time to as short as possible.    </p>
<p>Your online voice will vary depending on your market but always be respectable, and have a one-on-one conversational voice. Do not say we or all of you.  There isnt a line up of people waiting to see your sales message. </p>

The truth is that many people never make a dime doing this because they dont know how to approach a cold call. Provided below are the strategies and principals that will lead to a successful cold call.  </p>
<p>The first thing to do is to learn the thirty second rule of connection. You may be a calling a thousand people, but with every single person you have just 30sec to make the connection. This may sound quick but the truth is after 30sec you are going to start to<br />
lose their interest (that is if you had it in the first place), the 30sec rule must be mastered. In 30 sec you have to get the person to either start feeling good about you, as a person or curious enough to want to hear more. </p>
<p>2. The rule geographical location.  Give them a frame of where you are. You want to paint a picture of who you are very quickly. One of the greatest ways to do that is to state where you are from. They will get them to start thinking about where you are from and be able to relate to that. </p>
<p>3. Offer an exist strategy.  This is where you give them permission to stop you. You may be thinking why would I want do to do that?  It&rsquo;s to take the pressure off. They don&rsquo;t know who you are; you called them, they were not holding their breath waiting for your call. Carefully offer them an exit strategy in the first 30sec and immediately the pressure is off. You get their undivided attention without making them feel like there are backed into a corner.  </p>
<p>You want to create a comfortable environment on the telephone. This gives you a more professional image and makes the offer seem much more believable. If they feel pressured they will start to think If you want me that bad, you can not be doing that good.  This immediately discredits you as a leader.  Leaders are not desperate so they never have to box anyone into a purchase. By giving them a way out you are actually convincing them to stay. </p>
<p>Focus on values in their life.  You need to figure out what is valuable to them and then let them know that you can help them to obtain it.  Ask them straight up if there was one thing that you could change in your life what would it be?  Most times they will tell you what they want and what you need to say to recruit them. The value system is extremely important. You need to decipher where they are in life and where they want to go.  Perhaps they want more money, more control over their life, maybe they just want another option whatever it is you need to find out what the value in their life is right up front. </p>
<p>Professionals in the business don&rsquo;t pressure or try to convince they get people to do the work for them. It&rsquo;s not about forcing them into joining you; it&rsquo;s about letting them know that there is an alternative option to whatever it is they have now. You can&rsquo;t go into cold call thinking about money.  Think about the fact that you have the power to change the lives of every person on your list. But the only way to change their lives is to find out what they want changed in their lives. These are not leads; they are people who have desires. If you help them obtain their desires and values you then become valuable to them. Focus on value in their life.</p>

<p>MANF rule.  Make a new friend every call. You have a list of friends that you have never met. Every time you engage in conversation you need to make a new friend. If you focus on being their friend, then making them feel comfortable comes easier.  We dont like to pressure our friends we want to help them. By making them feel like they are talking to someone they can call a friend they are more likely to feel comfortable and are more receptive. You may not be the first person to have called them. So you have to separate yourself from all the other people that have<br />
ever called. Try to befriend your leads.  </p>
<p>Recruiting through. Suppose you call someone, lets say Joe, and Joe decides your offer isnt for him.  Rather than saying thank you for you time and then hanging up, ask Joe to help you help someone else. Heres how it works:</p>
<p>Joe- Im sorry I am not interested.  You- Joe that is so refreshing, thank you for being honest, but maybe you can help me; maybe you can point me in the direction of someone who this may be appropriate for in your area because I am looking for a leader in your marketplace. </p>
<p>This is referred to as empowering the no. By asking Joe, or whoever to think of someone who may be interested you&rsquo;ve turned that no into a potential goldmine. </p>
<p>If a person tells you no say Great, thanks for being honest and then move forward.  You may not always get a referral but this is definitely a strategy to put into play because more often than not it works. </p>
<p>The rule of reality.  The reality is out of 100 people you maybe be lucky if you recruit 2%. Majority of people will not be interested. But this is ok because its worth going through 3-400 people in order to find your goldmine. You can find that person that will explode your business.  Dont ever look at list in terms of numbers. Give up the I have to call all these people attitude right now. For every person that you do not call you could potentially be throwing 10,000 dollars out the window because that could be the one that could unleash the success in your business.     </p>
<p>The golden principal.  The only reason you work a cold market is to find a new warm market. Once you&rsquo;ve got someone and you&rsquo;ve recruited them then you have to start recruiting their warm market.  They&rsquo;ve got credibility with the people that they know. Focus on where the fire is. If you&rsquo;ve got someone that is really hot you need to make them a top distributor. By helping them create success in their life they&rsquo;ll be helping you create success in yours.</p>
<p>Cold calling doesnt have to give you an anxiety attack. You need to get over your fear of the phone now because having success in any work at home program will rely upon it. Use the principals described above and you will have success with your work at program.</p>
